Description
We are looking for a Procurement Logistics Manager to lead regional and local sourcing activities across APAC, with a focus on Japan and Korea. This role is responsible for driving logistics procurement strategies, optimizing supplier performance, and delivering cost-efficient, high-quality logistics solutions in close collaboration with global and regional stakeholders.
- Manage regional and local procurement activities for logistics categories, including warehousing, transportation, customs brokerage, on-carriage, and parcel services
- Develop and execute mid- to long-term sourcing strategies aligned with global and regional objectives
Define and manage supplier portfolio, including building new strategic supplier partnerships - Lead and implement regional logistics sourcing projects and tenders, including M&A-related logistics setup optimization
- Collaborate with Supply Chain teams to identify cost reduction and service improvement opportunities
- Monitor market trends, industry insights, and innovations to support strategic decision-making
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Manage pricing development and cost optimization for assigned categories
- Drive supplier performance management and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives such as savings projects, sustainability, innovation, and digitalization
- Challenge and enhance sourcing strategies and financial targets in alignment with global category leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics sourcing and/or supply chain management
- Strong knowledge of APAC logistics market, particularly Japan and/or Korea
- Solid procurement experience, including negotiation and contract management
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Fluent level of Japanese, Business-level English proficiency
